After decades of student advocacy, Michigan State University’s new 34,000-square-foot Multicultural Center brings a long-envisioned campus resource to life—an inclusive, purpose-built environment shaped directly by student voices. Designed by SmithGroup, the center includes collaboration and community lounge areas, reservable meeting rooms, prayer rooms, a resource hub, and student-organization space—along with features such as a Dreamer Center and an art gallery wall. Take a quick video tour to see how the design supports belonging in tangible ways, creating spaces to welcome, educate, heal, honor, and celebrate the full diversity of the MSU community.
