• Crafted Convergence

    May 3, 2018

Working with the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture and the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe, N.M., Durkan introduces Crafted Convergence. The soft surface line takes inspiration from various sources including Native American pottery and baskets to Japanese and African garments. Using positive and negative space, the collection brings native influences into the hospitality market. What's more: working with the museums allows designers and manufacturers like Durkan to work with original influences without appropriating important spiritual and cultural symbolism.
