The Mathilda Chair, designed by dynamo Patricia Urquiola for Moroso, is intriguing in its simplicity. The unique fabric or leather wrapping of the upholstered back and armlets is basic yet eye-catching, creating a warm touch that also allows the chair to stack. The leg and arm piece is available in varnished natural ash or walnut, while the seat and back feature flame-retardant, stress-resistant polyurethane foam. A variety of materials and finishes are available, a few of which can be seen here.

Urquiola has proven with The Mathilda Chair that the basics, when combined in the best ways possible, translate seamlessly from market to market.
