The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) announces the debut of the IIDA Best Interiors of Latin America Competition. The competition has been created to honor and celebrate outstanding interior design and architecture projects that represent the highest level of design excellence in the following countries: Argentina, Aruba, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Falkland Islands, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela.
“IIDA Members recognize that each region of the world enjoys its own unique history and culture, leading to subtle distinctions and cultural variances for firms designing interiors in Latin America,” says Cheryl S. Durst, Honorary FIIDA, LEED AP, executive vice president and CEO, IIDA. “We are pleased to present this competition in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen, an innovative company internationally recognized for its exceptional quality and award-winning designed products.”
The winning design projects will be selected by a jury of design professionals from the following 10 categories: Corporate Space Large, Corporate Space Small, Cultural/Institutional/Educational, Healthcare, Hotels, Municipal/Public Spaces, Residences, Restaurants, Retail and Spas/Fitness/Wellness Centers.
A Best of Category winner and a maximum of two Honorable Mention recipients in each category will be selected. A Best of Competition winner will be selected from the Best of Category winners.
