JASPER, IN – National Office Furniture, a division of Kimball International Inc., recently announced Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas, as the $25,000 Gift of Inspiration for Education winner. This is National’s third Gift of Inspiration winner, totaling $60,000 in donations to Education and Healthcare organizations within the last 18 months.
With the donation, Hill College plans to start its “Building Pathways to Success” program which provides scholarships to first generation college students. The students are identified as those not having any immediate family members that attended or graduated from a two or four year college. The Gift of Inspiration will provide opportunities for these students to start a legacy of continuing education to pass along to future generations.
National Office Furniture started its Gift of Inspiration program to provide opportunities for educational environments to enhance the learning experience. National wanted to do its part in supporting educators with a chance to provide scholarships, endowments, learning materials, training and other important educational and developmental programs for students and faculty, as funding these have been challenged by the current economy.

Hill College is National’s third Gift of Inspiration recipient. National awarded Southwest Middle School in Savannah, GA, a $10,000 Gift of Inspiration in 2009, which they utilized to start a “Second Chance” mentoring and after school program for at-risk students. Earlier this year, University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics received National’s $25,000 Gift of Inspiration for Healthcare Environments and plan to use the donation to develop outdoor healing initiatives including a healing garden and walking paths.
