Interiors & Sources and Milliken Carpet are coming together on World Environmental Health Day (#WorldEHDay)—Friday, Sept. 26—to host a Twitter Chat. The chat will run from 2 to 3 p.m. EST with the theme, Achieving Environmental Health in Interior Design.
“Everything we do in the built environment impacts the natural world in which we live,” said Philip Ivey, strategic sustainability leader for Milliken’s global floor covering division. “In interior design, it is especially critical to consider all sustainable aspects of a product or material in a space.”
Using the hashtag, #EHinDesign, Interiors & Sources (@Interiorssource) and Milliken (@MillikenCarpet) will be asking questions throughout the Twitter Chat regarding sustainable interior design. Twitter users can follow and participate in the conversation throughout the hour using the #EHinDesign hashtag.
“We’re so glad that we are in an era of design where we can talk about two kinds of environmental design—not only sustainability in terms of the natural environmental, but also focusing on the impact within the interior design environment,” said Erika Templeton, Interiors & Sources editorial director. The Twitter Chat comes just days before the October issue of Interiors & Sources is released, which looks at not only the impact of design but 10 sustainable projects from around the world.
