Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, announced it has been honored for its work in designing the corporate headquarters of United Rentals, Inc. located at 100 1st Stamford Place in Stamford, Conn. The project won an Award of Merit in the Commercial Office category (>25,000 square feet) at the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Southwest Chapter’s 2014 PRIDE Awards ceremony.
Ware Malcomb provided interior architecture and graphic design services for the new 40,000 square foot Class A corporate headquarters office of United Rentals, the largest equipment rental company in the world. The project was designed and managed out of Ware Malcomb’s Phoenix office, which is led by Kevin Evernham, Regional Manager. ESRT Construction (formerly known as Malkin Construction) served as General Contractor.
The project scope included high-end executive office spaces, training rooms, and an open and collaborative work area. Ware Malcomb worked closely with United Rentals to create an environment that reflected their company's history, core values, and corporate culture, which were aesthetically translated through the use of branded environmental graphics that were applied throughout the office space. Ware Malcomb's graphic design studio worked closely with the firm’s interior design studio to design and implement environmental graphics that were cohesive with the interior design for a truly integrated design solution.
