Premiere Collection by Designtex

Jan. 2, 2014
I am the Premiere Collection from Designtex, and I'm basically a cross between digital printing technologies and a non-vinyl substrate. Learn my full story inside.

Where did you grow up?
Portland, Maine, the home of my parents' state-of-the-art digital printing facility.

Aside from sugar and spice and everything nice, what else are you made of?
I'm basically a cross between digital printing technologies and a non-vinyl substrate, making me a sustainable, versatile wallcovering for all types of spaces.

Who are some of your idols and influencers?
I'm true to my Maine roots, translating my innate love of trees and nature into large-scale patterns and color, color, and more color.

What's your favorite design market?
I would have to say hospitality, because it provides an unlimited number of opportunities for me to show off my true colors and really shine, but I can brighten up everything from stores to schools.

What's your biggest turn-on?
A creative mind.

Turn-off?
Thoughtlessness.

What's the rumor mill churning out about you these days?
Well, rumor has it that I may or may not have some siblings in the near future, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see about that.

What's your next starring role?
I'm currently being considered for several roles around the country, but nothing has been confirmed yet. You'll definitely want to keep an eye on the trades.

What's the worst part about fame?
I think it's the risk of becoming old news. Fortunately, that's the least of my worries, since I have an unlimited number of colors in my palette and am easily customizable. I can constantly reinvent myself and stay relevant, meaning I'll be a part of the conversation for many years to come.
