Here are a few pieces to keep your eye out for if you’re heading to Milan next month for Salone del Mobile.
1. Wolf Gordon will be debuting Level, a licensed collection of three upholstery textiles, one sheer drapery textile, one textile wallcovering, and one Type II wallcovering, designed by Mae Engelgeer. The line is a lesson in Dutch Modernism, featuring subtle geometries that become super
chic layered over neutral tones. You can find them once again at the Spazio Rossana Orlandi.
2. Check out Fantini in Hall 22, Stand C23/C27 and their Acquadolce collection of three multi-functional showerheads. Two of the models
feature LED and chromatherapy lighting systems and all three have user-friendly touch-screen technology on a frosted glass panel.
3. Donghia will be showcasing their Quatrefoil flute lamps. These works of hand-blown glass art feature graceful lines and eye-catching textures utilizing the Battuto technique, with each incision made individually by the hand of a skilled artisan.
4. Brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec experiment with the kilim weaving technique for the Lattice collection for nanimarquina. The irregularity of the lines creates a bold statement that disturbs and excites. Stop by Hall 16, Stand E34 for a peak at this line, handmade in Pakistan with handspun Afghan wool.
5. Stellar Works will premiere Valet, designed by David Rockwell, at the Arcade at San Gregorio. The 14-piece collection includes lounge seating, customizable shelving, and even a bar cart. It also features unique material combinations such as full-grain saddle leather, American walnut, and black steel.
