It’s no secret that technology is advancing quicker than we can keep up with it, and at Astek, 3D printing--known as Haptic printing--on a substrate to create dimensional wallcoverings is the next big thing. Rather than utilizing embossing and high-definition printing, Haptic printing creates photo-realistic coverings which mimic the look and feel of artwork. First used by the company in November 2017, Astek is the first manufacturer to use 3D printing in this way in America.
