The Parlor

The Parlor is a collection of Axminster designs with surprising linear transitions. Following the rules of a drawing game Surrealist artists played to pass time and unlock the true creative essence of the unconscious, Brintons designers were tasked with completing a quarter of a drawing each and shipping it to the next player in the game.

Players continued the previous designer’s work by only exposing a half inch of the drawing. The finished product features glowing neon hues that contrast with moody velvet textures in four symbiotic drawings and twelve woven Axminster carpets.
