Windows

Sept. 28, 2017

1. The EcoVeil Sheer Collection from MechoSystems is the first commercial shadecloth/window treatment to meet the stringent Healthier Hospitals Safer Chemicals Challenge and pass NFPA 701 without using chemical flame retardants. Unlike a traditional shadecloth, which can have an industrial feel, this 100-percent polyester fabric has a softer aesthetic. It is available in 1- and 3-percent openness in a broken twill weave and stocked at 118-inches wide.

2. Winco Window Company introduces its hurricane-rated 3250 Steel Replica Windows that are capable of withstanding up to 200-mph winds. Designed for coastal areas, these windows are ideal for historic projects that need to reflect the architectural integrity of traditional buildings while meeting today’s requirements for cost efficiency, energy conservation, and property protection.

3. In the 1940s, Florence Knoll was inspired to adapt menswear fabrics for furniture applications. To honor KnollTextiles’ 70th anniversary and her founding vision of modern design, the team delved into the archives. The Legacy Collection has six upholstery patterns and two drapery fabrics. The collection also features high-performance vinyl wallcoverings.

4. The TZ100 Tension Zip System from Hunter Douglas Architectural eliminates light gaps at any angle or direction. An extrusion keeps fabric under constant tension, creating blackout capability, sun shading, and insect control while staying flat for attractive visuals. Capable of skylight, top-down, bottom-up, or sideways installation, TZ100 accepts a number of fabric options and can be powder coated in different colors.

5. Daybreak, the first drapery collection by Fil Doux Textiles, invites the outside in with its nature-inspired designs. This combination of bold and dramatic metallic patterns with soft and humble color tones creates a striking contrast that can help frame any space. The extensive collection features 12 colorways that are accented by the unexpected addition of a mid-century-modern inspired merino wool option.
