Patricia Urquiola plays on the dualism of technology and nature with Almendra, which means “almond” in Spanish, for Flos' latest offering. Urquiola envisioned the extension light as two shells of an open almond connected by a central pin. The LED light source diffuses evenly over the entire open surface and the linear or curved shaft can accommodate 3, 4 or 6 lights positioned downwards or upwards. Crafted from sustainable polycarbonate and aluminum, it can be finished in off-white, nude, ocher, anthracite, bay blue metallized and lilac metallized.
