Tracy Glover was an architecture student at Virginia Tech when she was first introduced to glassblowing. She later studied in Providence, R.I., and received a bachelor of fine arts in glass. Glover has since honed her craft in diverse locales including a 13th-century Belgian convent’s crystal factory and Dale Chihuly’s renowned Pilchuck School of Glass, where she was mentored by a Venetian maestri-in-residence. Every piece is designed in her Pawtucket, R.I., foundry where she and her assistants blow the glass onsite before assembling the components into finished commissioned pieces.

Metropolis Cylinder Pendant | $420
The lustrous surface is created by briefly exposing the glass to a type of flame that causes a chemical reaction, leaving behind a metallic

The artful Flower line showcases glass’s ability to transmit, hold, and reflect light. Graduated glass forms are stacked inside each other to create

Raindrop Chandelier | $20,000
The perforated metal scrim of the chandelier diffuses the light from the canopy-mounted LEDs. Inspired by sun showers (when rain falls while the sun is out), it features 60 glass raindrops hanging from stainless steel cables off the dome-shaped, spun-aluminum canopy.

Blackburn Pendant Enoki | $644
To achieve the ombré effect, Glover layers a thin coating of colored glass around the bubble at the top and at the bottom. The coloring is deliberately fluid to suggest liquid movement. (Diffuser in ombré, Primavera pattern in olive/celery colorway, with antique brass finish shown.)

Blackburn Semi-Flushmount | $1,091
This pattern is created with an Italian glassblowing technique called murrini that fuses tiles into a single sheet. Glover uses that sheet to cover a glass bubble, creating a pattern of rings reminiscent of calamari. (Pillow shape diffuser in Calamari pattern, oil-rubbed bronze finish shown.)

Blackburn Cluster Pendant | $7,178
Seven illuminated spheres fan out gracefully, like a cluster of grapes, with their cords cinched together tightly by a metal ring. The globes are available in four sizes. (9” Globes in Primavera pattern, clear shown.)

Having quenched a brew of liquid ingredients, Glover encases them in a layer of clear glass. The hot-cold-hot interaction becomes effervescent, resulting in the frothy appearance of the pattern. (10” Globe shape diffuser in Primavera pattern, steel blue with brushed nickel finish shown.)

Glover uses a metal form to put creases in the glass that expand with the bubble, resembling ribs. This lamp is available in 13
