NEW YORK – Leading architectural materials company, Trespa International, has announced that it will be moving its North American headquarters from Poway, Calif., to New York City, where it will reside in the recently revamped and highly successful Trespa Design Centre.
The move, to take place this summer of 2012, will also consolidate Trespa North America’s operations and take advantage of closer proximity to the company’s global headquarters in the Netherlands. “These new activities will not only streamline Trespa operations, but also it will create a more effective environment for efficiently handling the needs of our customers and enhance the position of Trespa products in the building construction industry,” says Herb Larsen, vice president of sales and marketing with Trespa North America.
According to Larsen, all positions except field sales will operate from one office following the move. A long transition period has been incorporated into the relocation planning to both limit the impact on customers and effectively transition all employees.
“We remain focused on high-quality facade solutions and sales of Trespa® Meteon®, facade panels that inspire, perform and endure. The colorful, high performance building facade panels have been a global success story and are gaining real traction in the North American architectural community,” says Larsen.
In announcing the move, Trespa North America has emphasized the success of its Trespa Design Centre New York, a venue for architect and customer education, exhibits and events located on Greene Street in New York City’s Soho neighborhood. Recently, its parent company has built on this track record by opening a new and similar design center in Barcelona, Spain, and the grand opening for a Santiago, Chile location is planned for next month, April 2012.
The new offices will be co-located with the Trespa Design Centre New York, which occupies two levels of a cast-iron loft space with offices and showrooms. This proximity, say the company’s executives, will ensure greater levels of customer contact, sales development and industry involvement.
“Overall efficiencies will increase as a result of this move,” Larsen adds. “Trespa is an established brand in the United States and Canada, and we are fully committed to long-term growth in the North American market. It has been and will continue to be a key growth engine for the company.”
