Who are you?
Not a bird, not a plane… I’m Flock, and I provide solutions for collaborative spaces. Whether I’m taking care of business in welcoming centers, nooks or other community areas, I’m a collection of sophisticated,
modular furnishings that enable all types of engagement and teaming.
Who in your family do you most resemble?
I’m pretty unique, actually. Not only do I turn heads because of my distinctive aesthetic, I behave pretty differently as well, offering a complete series for dialogue and worker togetherness.
Where are you from?
I’m a proud mid-market design option hailing
from Muscatine, Iowa.
What one word best describes you?
Comprehensive.
What are your biggest turn-ons?
Users who perch and take notes, duos who corral two of my ottomans to review a report, or teams needing furniture for roundtable discussions. Workplace scenarios requiring easily reconfigurable furnishings while maintaining an aesthetic
continuity—that’s what really gets me going.
Turn-offs?
Passive lounge furniture that can inhibit interaction and the dynamic of a conversation. Thankfully, there’s none of that going on here.
Who inspires you?
My designer, Brian Kane. He’s a pro at using clean lines and simple geometric shapes to create super-stylish settings.
How do you define good design?
Good design not only provides support to its users—it should also collaborate with the rest of its surroundings. Not coincidentally, my good looks, though distinguishing, effortlessly coordinate with the rest of the HON portfolio. I help achieve a cohesive look wherever I’m going. After all, you know what they say about birds of a feather.
