Lantern Helix by Think Fabricate

Nov. 17, 2014

There are many ways to combine light and sculpture, but few do it as cleverly as Think Fabricate with its Lantern Helix—an inventive take on the classic lighting typology that is just as grand as it is playful. Lantern Helix features 14 individual Think Lanterns that vary in size, shape, and finish: flared or straight in profile, tall or short in height, and made of satin cold rolled-steel that is left exposes or lacquered in a medley of gold and white. Arranged in a cascading helix that follows the path created by the overlapping hexagonal forms of the canopy above, the lanterns feel collected and in harmony despite their diversity in form.
