Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, announced last week that it has acquired WorkSpace Plans, a Southern California-based building measurement services company. The move augments the scope of Ware Malcomb’s planning, architecture, interior design, branding, and civil engineering services for commercial and corporate clients by offering the latest technology and expertise in building measurement.
Owned and founded by Jill Burns (pictured at left) and Kim Von Der Ahe-Arial (pictured at right), WorkSpace Plans provides laser accurate "As Built" floorplans for commercial, industrial, healthcare, retail, and residential space using the latest in laser measuring technology.
Over the past several years, the company has built a reputation for delivering accurate floor plans with quick turn-around times at competitive fees. The company will operate under the name WorkSpace Plans, a Ware Malcomb Company, during the next year as its operations are integrated into Ware Malcomb.

In addition to providing building measurement services to Ware Malcomb’s existing clients, Burns and Arial will also have the opportunity to provide additional resources and geographic reach to the current clients of WorkSpace Plans.
“Joining Ware Malcomb provides added support, technology and an established business platform to enable our expansion,” said Burns. “With an initial focus in Southern California, we will now be able to provide additional design services to our clients through Ware Malcomb’s integrated service offerings including architecture, interior architecture and design, branding, and civil engineering,” shares Arial.
