CORT Events shared four ways to have an on-trend outdoor event this year.

CORT Events shared four ways to have an on-trend outdoor event this year with the hottest developments in outdoor design.

The furniture, lighting and accessories rental company reports that transitional furniture, bold yet classic color palettes and patterns, Mediterranean influences and most importantly, bringing indoor comforts outdoors, are all trends for 2018 that will leave your attendees feeling at home in the outdoors.

1. Transitional Furniture:

Outdoor design is all about making your indoor and your outdoor blend seamlessly. Incorporate furniture suitable for lounging, networking and socializing and utilize modular and functional furniture to fit any patio, lawn or pool deck.

2. Bold, Yet Classic Color Palettes & Patterns:

Color is key when planning an outdoor event and according to CORT Events, blue is all the rage right now.

Go with deep hues of blue, paired with green jungle patterns and palm accent pieces or stay classic and chic with antiqued white and blue, playing with clean lines and crisp summer linens. Use surprising accent pieces to bring in the colors, such as outdoor wire tables and lighted plastic orbs, cubes, tables and columns.

3. Mediterranean Influences:

Go for International influence. Use ornate foliage or a centerpiece, mix furnishings with wood benches and tables with marble table tops. Define the space with faux boxwood hedges with added florals to create more intimate areas.

4. Comfort:

The most important trend is comfort, according to CORT Events. Pay attention to details that will enhance your guests’ experience. Warmer weather can leave guests hot and dehydrated, so be sure to place bug spray around the tables, use citronella candles and incorporate water stations throughout the venue.

Provide more shade than you think your guests will need and your next event's outdoor design will be remembered for years to come.
