NEW YORK—Hospitality design veteran Vincent Celano has just announced the launch of his new firm, Celano Design Studio, a collaborative team of architects and interior designers servicing the hospitality, entertainment and lifestyle industries in design, architecture and branding.
Throughout his career, Celano has headed the design and management of projects for some of the most sought after firms in the industry including Rockwell Group, Jeffrey Beers International, and ICRAVE, working with brands like MGM, W Hotels, and Mohegan Sun. As cofounder of Seed Design Studio with his former partner Gonzalo Bustamante, they went on to design high profile spaces across the country, including LIV Nightclub at Miami Beach’s Fontainebleau Hotel, Bagatelle in Las Vegas and Tavernita in Chicago.
With his new studio, Celano will continue to execute exciting concepts with cutting edge brands, pushing the boundaries of the design process and choreographing experiences in each project it takes on. “There’s excitement in how our business evolves; it’s always changing not with trends, but with how people interact and how society evolves,” says Celano. “We have to look forward to what hasn’t been done yet.”
One of the factors that drove Celano to create the firm was fulfilling his vision of a fully collaborative office culture. “The idea was to create a studio that’s entirely collaborative, and a culture that encourages creativity. That’s what Celano Design Studio is. That’s our personality and our culture.”
The firm’s upcoming projects include Seven Madison Kitchen in Westchester with Chopped contestant chef Nick di Bona, Whiskey Union Las Vegas, and Buddy V’s Italian, the first restaurant by Buddy Valastro of TLC’s Cake Boss. “Continual forward movement and growth is, to me, the next step,” explains Celano. “There always has to be that next step, the next level for our projects, our design process, and our studio culture. You have to keep moving forward."
