Batik Blue from Robert Allen

Nov. 24, 2015

Robert Allen’s Interior Designer Color of the Year for 2016 is Batik Blue, beating out Beet and Mussel Shell in a survey of more than 2,000 interior designers with more than 40 percent of the vote. The three colors were selected by color experts at Robert Allen after examining colors in style throughout history, as well as current trends on runways, interiors, and online. Batik’s inky dark indigo is versatile and can be layered or offset with brighter options such as fuchsia and lime.
