Jan. 22, 2016

Dana Waymire brings extensive financial and operational experience

Global architecture and design firm Perkins+Will recently announced the appointment of Dana Waymire as the company’s new chief financial officer. Waymire brings extensive financial and operational experience with international design firms to the role.

“Dana is a welcome addition to the Perkins+Will executive leadership team, as she is a consummate professional with a strong track record of success in finance and operations,” said Perkins+Will President and CEO Phil Harrison. “Her diverse experience in the design industry, her business acumen, and her collaborative personality are all notable strengths. We are fortunate to have her on board.”

Waymire has 30 years of experience at global architecture and design firms, including positions as chief financial officer, chief operating officer, and executive vice president of finance.  Prior to joining Perkins+Will, she served as corporate director of operations for one of the world’s largest engineering firms.

“One of the best things about my role at Perkins+Will—a firm I have long admired—is that it allows me to use my financial and business expertise to work in partnership with a global team of creative minds,” Waymire said. “I enjoy being a CFO, but what I really love is doing my job within the creative realm of architecture and design. It’s the best of both worlds.”

At a time of rapid growth at the firm, Waymire will be focused on delivering the financial vision, strategy, and leadership to ensure the firm achieves its business and practice objectives. She will split her time between Perkins+Will’s San Francisco and Chicago offices, leading a team of 18 firmwide corporate finance professionals.

Waymire replaces Joe Dailey, who is retiring from his post as chief financial officer after nine years with the firm.

“We are grateful for all of Joe’s contributions to the firm over the years, and while we are sad to see him go, we congratulate him on his retirement, and we look forward to continued growth and success under Dana’s leadership,” Harrison says.
