Karim Rashid was recognized by BUILD Magazine for his revamp of Temptation Resort Cancun in their 2016 Construction & Engineering Awards. The “sensual minimalism” design Karim created for the adult-centric resort helped him stand out from the other entrants, securing the Best Interior & Exterior Designer and the USA & Best Hospitality Project awards.
The design makeover began on Sept. 25, with re-opening scheduled for fall 2017. The new 430-room resort will redefine Cancun’s skyline with a seven-story building that will stimulate guests with a sensual vibe throughout the entire property with its bright colors and human-like shapes. Upon completion of the renovation project, the property will have eight restaurants, including one aphrodisiac-themed restaurant, five bars, a spa, fitness center and two pools.
