The Designers Group Celebrates Third Birthday with Complimentary Design Services

Aug. 29, 2019

Interior design firm The Designers Group celebrates major milestones with pro-bono services for its surrounding Brooklyn community in New York.

In celebration of its third anniversary, New York-based The Designers Group has chosen to give back to three charities in New York and Philadelphia. The interior design firm has recently undergone expansion and wants to give back to communities that have embraced its business along the way.

This specific project pictured in the images is a case study of their work at 222 Avenue E, Bayonne, NJ for a new luxury residential building in growing downtown Bayonne. The Designers Group incorporates a modern, streamline aesthetic all throughout the clean living spaces.

The three charities—The EMPACT Foundation, American Friends of Puah and Bikkur Cholim of Philadelphia—were chosen from a pool of applications because of the work they have achieved and intend to do, says Blima Ehrentreu, partner at The Designers Group.

“We have been fortunate enough to receive so much support over the years and understand that there are challenging times in every business,” says Ehrentreu. “We would love to take the pressure off someone's shoulders and help them the best way we know how.”

She adds that the firm is currently meeting with the three organizations to discuss the plans for the pro-bono services in the coming months, although completion dates are not confirmed. The design work will cater to each group’s needs.

“So far, we are working on a range of different areas from apartments to consultation rooms, co-working spaces and an auditorium,” says Ehrentreu. “In each of these spaces, we will propose the different [design] aspects needed.”

Although this is the first time The Designer Group is celebrating a major milestone through charity, Ehrentreu says that due to overwhelming support, the firm is definitely open to doing more.

American Friends of Puah

The main goal of American Friends of Puah is to help the Jewish community create healthy families.

It aids individuals or couples that are going through fertility challenges by providing them with the best care free of charge. The Designers Group will create new consultation rooms for the organization for patients to feel the utmost level of comfort.

Bikkur Cholim of Philadelphia

This organization extends a helping hand to those people in the Philadelphia community and those who come to Philadelphia to seek medical care.

Volunteers provide hospital and home visits, transportation and give families access to two furnished apartments in close proximity to hospitals in Philadelphia. The Designers Group will upgrade the interior of these apartments so that families have a comfortable place to stay while their loved ones are ill.
