Andreu World Extends Support to Texas Flood Relief
When Andreu World created the Valencia Stool in response to the devastating DANA storm in our homeland of Valencia, we had a clear vision: design can also be a tool for aid, reflection, and reconstruction. Now, that spirit of solidarity reaches even further.
All proceeds from the sale of the Valencia Stool will now also go toward supporting communities affected by flooding in other parts of the world, such as the recent events in Texas.
“Its design is deeply inspired by the emotional and physical impact of this natural disaster, revealing a deformed appearance, as if the stool had been struck by the force of the water and tested by adversity. The interwoven texture evokes the resilient spirit of a community overcoming hardship”, explains designer Patricia Urquiola.
The Valencia Stool is made from a biological, biodegradable, and compostable material, reaffirming our commitment to a sustainability that must also be social.
Thanks to our international network, this stool can now carry its message - and its support - farther than ever before. Because emergencies know no borders, and neither does solidarity.
