NeoCon invited industry leaders, emerging voices, and design experts to share ideas and practical insights with the commercial interiors community by submitting presentation proposals for its 2027 show. The 58th edition will take place June 13-16, 2027, at The Mart in Chicago, Ill.

Proposals are being accepted in four formats: virtual and on-site continuing education unit (CEU) sessions, hands-on workshops, and NeoCon Talks. New for 2027, the program also expands its focus on lighting innovation with dedicated Spotlight Sessions associated with the return of Illuminate at NeoCon.

Topics may address workplace, healthcare, hospitality, sustainability, inclusion, wellness, technology, adaptive design, artificial intelligence, and other evolving industry priorities. Presentations must be educational or inspirational; sales presentations will not be accepted. Industry manufacturers and vendors that are not participating in NeoCon are ineligible to present.

“NeoCon is dedicated to bringing together thought leaders, visionaries, and emerging voices to explore the rapidly evolving design landscape,” said Lisa Simonian, Vice President and Head of Trade Shows. “As technology and user experience transform commercial spaces, we’re looking forward to exploring what’s next and hosting inspiring discussions that help our industry navigate the future.”

Virtual CEU sessions are pre-recorded, 60-minute sessions sharing high-value education on emerging trends, global case studies, innovative practices, and more. These International Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC)- and American Institute of Architects (AIA)-approved CEUs will be on-demand via the NeoCon Learning Hub Sunday, June 13 through December 31, 2027.

On-Site CEU sessions are live, 60-minute sessions held Monday, June 14, and Tuesday, June 15, at The Mart to foster engagement and real-time discussion. Approved by IDCEC and AIA, these sessions will be recorded and available as virtual CEUs.

Workshops are in-person, longer-format sessions—roughly 60 to 90 minutes—held Monday, June 14, Tuesday, June 15, and Wednesday, June 16, to provide hands-on learning and live interaction.

In partnership with AZURE and Lytei, NeoCon Talks and spotlights session will occur on the 7th Floor Exhibit Hall stage on June 14 and 15. The TED-style sessions discuss fresh insights and bold ideas designed to spark innovation and drive meaningful change. Emerging influencers and established thought leaders explore forward-thinking design concepts, including a focus on how light shapes space, mood, performance, and experience. Sessions are recorded and available post-show via the NeoCon Program Library.

Jan. 18, 2027, is the deadline to submit proposals. Selected presenters will be notified by Feb. 16, 2027. Submission requirements and application details are available on the NeoCon Call for Programming page.
