It was stiff competition but ulimately "Fleur de Tachee" from multidisciplinary artist Rachel Gloria Adams living in Portland, ME came out on top.
Adams' design will grace our Jan/Feb issue cover when it drops next month, leading off i+s' very first Quick Ship guide with our feature on Designtex' new Digital Studio tool that was released late last year. This online service allows designers and architects to create and customize any of 75 curated, one-of-a-kind patterns from their in-house designers as well as talent like Adams, all from their Portland digital printing facility, for any environment, in a matter of minutes.
i+s Editor in Chief AnnMarie created her own in substrate, color and scale from the five patterns i+s' Instagram followers were asked to choose from, representing a new wave of quick ship programs that gives more power to the customer. Samples arrived in five days and product can arrive in just two weeks (with only a 10 yard mininum!)
