Museum Spotlights Architecture

Press AssociationBritain's first permanent gallery devoted entirely to architecture has launched in London, with models of a suburban house and Bluewater shopping centre among the displays. The Architecture Gallery at London's Victoria & AlbertMuseum contains 180 exhibits from across the ages which depict some of the world's greatest buildings, from the Palace of Westminster and Cornwall's Eden Project to Egypt's Great Pyramid and Sphinx, the Parthenon in Athens and the Taj Mahal.

The gallery, which contains around 60 drawings as well as watercolors, models and coins, opens on Thursday Nov. 18 in collaboration with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
