ASID Chapter Recognizes Plunkett Raysich Architects

MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has recognized Plunkett Raysich Architects for excellence in design in four categories: healthcare/medical, residential, education/institutional and office/corporate design.

Plunkett Raysich Architects, one of the state’s largest design firms, received five awards, the most of any firm, including two of four gold awards for projects completed in 2005. 

The firm received:

two gold awards, for the First National Bank of Hartford in Hartford and the New Berlin Public Library in New Berlin;

two silver awards, for a penthouse condominium in Milwaukee (1522 on the Lake), and for the Reedsburg Area Senior Care in Reedsburg;

and a bronze award, for Gundersen Lutheran Renal Dialysis in LaCrosse

“We are honored to have been recognized for design excellence by our peers—especially this year as we received two rare gold awards,” said Michael Sobczak, partner of design for Plunkett Raysich Architects.

The ASID awards focused on contract and residential industries, including office/corporate, recreation/hospitality, healthcare/medical, retail/showroom, education/institutional, historic renovation/recycle, unique, custom and residential projects.

Plunkett Raysich Architects has been recognized numerous times by the Wisconsin ASID chapter for its design excellence. In 2004, the firm earned four awards, including a gold for the Veterans Affairs Regional Office in Milwaukee. The previous year, the design firm captured nine awards for its work, including four golds for City Center West in Madison; Roberts Frozen Custard in Germantown; St. Luke’s Health Pavilion, All Saints Medical Center in Racine; and St. Mary’s Congregation in Hales Corners.
