(July, 2006) People to People Ambassador Programs is coordinating a delegation of professionals specializing in healthcare design who will travel to
China from May 6-18, 2007. Delegates will visit clinics, hospitals and academic institutions, and will meet with leaders in healthcare design. The exchange will include extensive discussions on the design of environments as a means to improve health, the role of healthcare design teams, and a comparison of design leadership in both
China and the
United States.The Healthcare Design Leadership Delegation will be led by Wayne Ruga, Ph.D., AIA, FIIDA, Hon. FASID, a well-known healthcare architect and interior designer who is founder and president of the CARITAS Project. Dr. Ruga is looking forward to sharing this opportunity for professional and personal growth with colleagues from the
United States and
China.

Delegates will visit three primary areas—
Beijing,
Guilin, and
