    - Members of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) recently gathered at the Hilton Anatole Hotel to celebrate the Legacy of Design Awards, the annual competition recognizing the finest interior design achievements within the ASID Texas Chapter. The event was held in conjunction with METROCON06 Expo & Conference, the 350+ booth two-day tradeshow exclusively for interior designers, facility managers and other design industry members.

This year's competition attracted more entries than ever. New for 2006 were the Rising Stars categories, which were open to designers who have practiced 10 years or less. ASID designers from all across the Texas Chapter's region—which includes Abilene, Amarillo, Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, Lubbock, Midland/Odessa and San Antonio—were eligible to participate.

The ASID Texas Chapter congratulates the winners, who will be honored by having photos of their projects appear on the home page of both ASID Texas Chapter Web sites: www.asidtx.org and its soon-to-be-renovated public counterpart, www.texas-designers.com. Currently, a listing of the winners and sponsors are available on the Legacy of Design page: www.asidtx.org/members/legacy.asp.

    And the winners are….
