Deadline for receipt: 5:00 p.m. PST on January 22, 2007.
The 2007 Blair L. Sadler International Healing Arts Competition, held annually by the Society for the Arts in Healthcare, will help your arts in healthcare project win recognition through a unique competition that honors individuals—both professional and student—as well as teams of individuals for their measurable impact on the quality of the healthcare experience for patients, visitors, families and staff. By supporting superior projects at healthcare institutions and emphasizing the importance of research-based project design, the competition aims to close the gap between arts and healthcare. The award program is presented by the Society for the Arts in Healthcare in conjunction with Aesthetics Inc.
Professional winners will receive $1,000 each (per individual or team) and student winners will receive $500 each (per individual or team). In addition, honorable mentions will be awarded at the review panel’s discretion with no monetary award. Winners will receive a complimentary registration for the 2007 Society for the “Arts in Healthcare Conference: A Composition in Creativity and Caring,” to be held April 11-14, 2007 in Nashville. Winners and honorable mentions will receive an award certificate and be announced to national media outlets.
