Krug Receives GREENGUARD Certification

Jan. 30, 2007

Kitchener ON - Krug recently announced that more than 50 of its seating products are now GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified® by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI).

Krug's Task & Executive, Guest and Lounge/Soft Seating earned GREENGUARD Certification after meeting GEI's rigorous testing requirements and air quality standards for low-emitting products.

Selecting low-emitting products helps to minimize exposure to the chemical emissions that are often released from interior furnishings and manufacturing materials. In addition, architects, designers, and building professionals can specify GREENGUARD Certified seating in order to achieve points for the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Rating System™.

"It is an important achievement for Krug and demonstrates our continued focus on environmental sustainability. We are pleased to provide our customers with the ability to create healthy workplace environments," says Len Ruby, Krug's president.

Krug's GREENGUARD Certified products include 13 Task & Executive chair series, 26 guest chair series, and 15 Lounge/Soft Seating lines such as the Dorso, Dorso Weave, Cadence, and Me chairs, along with the latest Krug introductions of Addison, Blake, Sera, Rivoli and Sutton.

"GREENGUARD is excited to have Krug's quality products included in the GREENGUARD Certification Program, and we look forward to working with the company, as they continue to pursue GREENGUARD Certification on additional product lines," says Carl Smith, GEI CEO.

As a leading designer and producer of office furnishings, Krug has become one of the industry's fastest growing and most dynamic furniture companies. Krug offers a range of private and conferencing solutions and a comprehensive seating collection.
