CIDA Launches Survey on Expectations of Entry-Level Professionals

July 1, 2007

The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) is currently developing quality educational standards for interior design graduates entering the field in 2009 and beyond.

Electronic surveys are being used to gain input from all who share a stake in the future of the profession. If you are stakeholder, CIDA invites you to help raise the bar for interior design higher education by participating in this important initiative. The first survey, now open, involves defining the broad scope of performance expectations of entry-level interior design practice. A second survey scheduled for August 2007 will zero-in on more specific quality assurance measures for undergraduate education.

Key stakeholders include:

  • Interior designers
  • Employers of interior design graduates
  • Interior design educators
  • Higher education administrators
  • Related industry professionals

To express your views in the survey, visit the Announcements section of the CIDA Web site at www.accredit-id.org/updates.html

Deadline for submitting the survey is Monday, July 16.
