Omaha, Nebraska -  HDR, one of North America's leading architectural, engineering and consulting firms, will join forces with the architectural practice of Mill & Ross Architects (2006) Inc., a Canadian architecture firm specializing in the planning and design of institutional facilities. The alliance, to operate as HDR | Mill & Ross Architects, is expected to further strengthen the leadership of the firms in healthcare design throughout Canada, and enhance their presence in civic, science, and technology building types.

HDR | Mill & Ross Architects will continue to operate the Canadian firm's two offices, a headquarters office in Kingston, Ontario, and another in Ottawa. Mill & Ross Architects is Canada's oldest continuously operated architectural practice, and has a recognized expertise in the design of healthcare facilities, with projects ranging from freestanding medical offices to hospital-based acute care services. "They are a highly regarded architecture firm, and we are very fortunate to have them join forces with HDR."

Michael Ross, president of Mill & Ross Architects, notes that the alliance will enable the firm to best continue its commitment to providing exemplary levels of service, design excellence, and technical knowledge to current and future clients in Kingston, Ottawa and eastern Ontario.
