Grand Rapids, MI - Nucraft, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based wood office furniture manufacturer, has received Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody (COC) certification.

"COC certification is a ‘seal of approval' that enables consumers, including architects and designers, to identify and purchase wood products from environmentally sound, well-managed sources."
Nucraft already uses a high percentage of recycled content in its production process. COC certification gives customers an additional option of requesting products manufactured with FSC-certified wood. Nucraft manufactures high-end conference, training room, lobby, reception area, and private office furniture products that are sold through independent dealers throughout the United States.
COC certification is awarded following a rigorous audit process to ensure that the FSC-certified raw wood material entering the manufacturing process is the same material customers receive as finished products. Additionally, COC certification is recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating SystemTM, the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.
