The fixtures reflect a recent trend of tricking out downtown Dallas buildings with unabashed, eye-catching lights. The recently opened W Hotel makes a statement with its lighted rooftop, midbuilding open terrace, and glass-bottom balcony; LED tubing atop the renovated Mercantile building will indicate current weather conditions.
