LG Surfaces and Adhesives Receive GREENGUARD Certification

Nov. 6, 2007

Peoria, AZ - LG Solid Source LLC. (LGSS), the North American sales and marketing arm for LG HI-MACS® Acrylic Solid Surface, LG HI-MACS Volcanics Collection®, LG HI-MACS Eden Collection®, and LG Viatera® Natural Quartz recently announced that these products are now GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified® for low- chemical emissions with and without LG Adhesive. In addition, testing has shown that the LG surfacing products have also met the new criteria established for GREENGUARD Children & SchoolsSM Certification, which is the ideal choice for educational environments.

"The GREENGUARD certification is a testament to our ongoing commitment to provide environmentally-sensitive products that meet the demands of everyone from the designer to the installer. It also complements well our very popular LG Eden product line which has been independently certified by SCS certification to having at least 12 percent post-industrial recycled materials," says Mike Tasch, product manager.

Fundamental to its corporate commitment, LG as a company has invested a significant amount of resources to develop products that contribute to a healthy living environment.

"It is important that our consumers can enjoy the style and quality expected of our products without sacrificing their ultimate environmental goal," says Ferron Dunham, marketing manager.
