Developed for everyone in the design industry, INTERIORS 08 will bring together designers, industry representatives, educators and students in New Orleans, March 13-16 to engage in seminars on the most important issues affecting the design profession.

Organized into five different educational tracks, attendees will choose seminars from those tracks that appeal to their professional needs. Below are descriptions of each track. A complete list of seminars can be accessed online at www.asid.org/interiors and at the end of the release.

Business Expertise
Attendees will gain a better understanding of critical business principles and learn proven ways to expand their business and increase their revenues.

Generational Design
Generational change is an important element in design, and attendees will learn how you to address key generational trends, keeping their business relevant and meeting the changing needs of staff, clients and the community.

Luxury Markets
Affluent lifestyles, once the hallmark of the elite, have now become fair game for the masses. Consumer markets in all sectors are being restructured to meet an increasing affinity for items, products and services that deliver high levels of quality, taste, and aspiration. Attendees will discover how shifting demographics usher in "new luxury," and how to tap the related markets.

Future Trends
Understanding consumer and practice trends is an important way to gain inspiration, helping designers deliver profitable services and experiences to their customers. Participants will learn to adjust their mindset for effective trend-watching and profitable innovation by embedding lessons on new trends into their business strategy.

Society and Environment
After centuries of behaviors that extract, exploit and deplete, we now face undeniable social, economic and environmental threats.
