Technology Testing Under Way at Newseum
Audiovisual and broadcasting equipment testing is in its final stages at Washington, D.C.’s Newseum, scheduled to open in April. High-tech cameras and projectors are found throughout the facility in several control rooms, theaters, and broadcast studios, and an atrium features movable high-resolution LED display screens.

Patient Safety Drives Design of Charleston Hospital
At Ashley River Tower, a new hospital of the Medical University of South Carolina, a glass exterior provides patient rooms with plenty of natural light to help the healing process. The facility also houses sophisticated technology aimed at protecting patient safety, including flat screen monitors for surgeries, an electronic medical filing system, and a central sterile corridor.
