Bretford Introduces New Extranet Site

They also need an easy way to download support tools that help them best position Bretford for their sales opportunities," explains Cindy Weinschreider, senior marketing manager for Bretford. "BretfordCommons is a single resource for all those needs. The customized site is designed to save partners a significant amount of time-all they need is an Internet connection-and give them the right balance of information, training and tools so they can win their bids and make the most of every Bretford sale."

The new extranet site features 24/7 order status, including the ability to track details about each individual shipment so partners know exactly when their products will arrive. Product/pricing information, such as list prices, model numbers and product descriptions can now be downloaded in Excel or PDF formats so users can get updated information on hundreds of Bretford products at any point throughout the entire sales process.

One of the most anticipated areas of the site is Bretford University, where participants can take part in online training modules on different Bretford product families. Bretford will offer initial courses focusing on conference room furniture, computer training tables and library solutions, and new training pieces will be added on regular basis. Partners also have access to additional support, like presentations, competitive analysis and specification guides, upon completion of each training module.

The Sales Tool section of BretfordCommons includes an image gallery to download high- and low-resolution images. Customers will soon be able to download specification sheets and market brochures, and even reserve Bretford's one-of-a-kind showroom in Chicago's Merchandise Mart for customer meetings or events from this portion of the site.

Additionally, BretfordCommons makes it easier for customers to submit Customer Owned Materials for testing. Bretford's wide array of lounge furniture can not only be ordered in standard fabric, but also in a custom fabric specified by the end user. Partners simply complete an online request, then track the testing process step-by-step online from the site.
