WASHINGTON - The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) recently went live with a new, redesigned Web site. The fresh look was carefully developed with the help of feedback from the people that frequent the site regularly, ASID members and consumers. The recent transformation eases navigation for those within ASID that rely on it and better accommodates visitors and press.
Compared to the former site, the new one is more inviting to the consumer and offers more facts about the profession, tips on how to work with ASID residential and commercial designers and what to expect, and the newest research on the impact of interior design in our daily lives. Now the site offers consumers more detailed design guidance and is home to the most up-to-date knowledge on today's important issues affecting the industry. It shares what designers and consumers need to know to get the results they want. A successful interior design project goes beyond aesthetics and incorporates sustainability, universal design, and ultimately public welfare and safety, and the site has information dedicated to each of these.
The easier navigation also helps the design professional find what they need, and quickly. Whether it's signing up for continuing education, using the product finder, applying for an award, reading about design legislation or studying tips on how to maximize their business, all of that support is just a click away.
