NEW YORK - MKDA, a leading corporate space planning and interior design firm with offices in New York City and Stamford, CT, has been tapped to design three branches of Community Mutual Savings Bank, a full-service bank providing personal and business banking services exclusively in New York State. According to MKDA, it has just completed the design and build-out of a 3,000-square-foot branch at 478 White Plains Road in Eastchester and is currently working on additional branches in Greenburgh and Mount Kisco, NY.
"MKDA is working with Community Mutual Savings Bank to develop and design branches that not only satisfy general spatial requirements, but that also establish a consistent brand identity through design," said MKDA Director of Design Julia Lindh. "The branches are designed to convey warmth consistent with the bank's commitment to its communities, while also maintaining some of the more traditional bank elements."
Throughout the branches, MKDA is using the same color palette featured in the company's logo-sage green and neutral tones highlighted by splashes of blue. The design firm is also giving each of the branches a lounge area outfitted with comfortable seating and large screen televisions. Light boxes in each lobby will display images of that community's landmarks and the company's mission statement, which strongly promotes community relations.
"Going forward, all our future locations will be modern, welcoming to our customers and focused on serving the communities where we live, work and do business. Our company strategy continues to be to provide our clients with better products, higher branch visibility, parking at all locations, ATM and Commercial Night Deposit capabilities, and a community bank approach to provide the highest quality personal and business customer service," stated Community Mutual Savings Bank President and CEO John Ritacco in one of the company's recent news releases.
