JASPER, IN - Kimball Office has achieved registration to the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 14001:2004 standard for the performance of the company's Environmental Management Systems. The registration acknowledges the manufacturing plants located in Jasper, IN; Borden, IN; Salem, IN; and Post Falls, Idaho, have met all the requirements of the ISO 14001:2004 international standard.
Registration to the ISO 14001:2004 standard testifies that Kimball Office's manufacturing facilities are equipped with systems that enable them to fully comply with all federal/state/local environmental regulatory requirements, identify and control the environmental impact of their activities, products or services, and to continually improve their environmental performance. Registration also substantiates a systematic approach to setting and achieving environmental objectives and to demonstrating they have been achieved.
Independent registrar QMI—SAI Global conducted the audits and recommended registration following the completion of its evaluations.
"We place a high priority on minimizing the ecological impact of our manufacturing operations," explains Douglas Prickett, director of sustainable design, Kimball Office. "This registration reflects the commitment, hard work and diligence of our environmental management teams."
