Chicago’s New Sustainable Leader

March 11, 2009

The Chicago Chapter of the American Institute of Architects recently appointed Vuk Vujovic as chair of its Committee on the Environment (COTE). Focusing on education and the exchange of ideas to achieve sustainable architectural and urban design throughout Chicago and the Midwest, Vujovic has helped pilot Chicago-based Legat Architects’ evolution toward sustainable design.

“Chicago professionals provide a world-class example of the leadership, vision, and political courage necessary to create sustainable, livable communities on a large urban scale. Our goal at AIA Chicago COTE is to support this green transformation and make it perpetual and universal,” says Vujovic. In his role, he will also promote a collaborative partnership between the AIA Chicago COTE, the City of Chicago, and the U.S. Green Building Council.
