CIDA Announces Scholarship Winners

April 27, 2009

The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) recently announced the recipients of the Keith Hooks Scholarship award:

  • Elizabeth Charney of Miami University, Miami, Ohio
  • Roselyn Rheaume of Kwantlen University College, Richmond, British Columbia
  • Ginny Uyesugi of California College of the Arts, San Francisco, California

The scholarship fund honoring long-time CIDA volunteer leader and interior designer Keith Hooks was established in his memory in 2008. Each junior-level student will receive $3,000 to use toward upcoming tuition at a CIDA-accredited interior design program.

“This scholarship rewards promising students who demonstrate the values that Keith Hooks embraced—hard work, integrity, and excellence,” states Leina Zimmerman of Skyline Construction in San Francisco. “Keith’s colleagues and friends are proud to partner with CIDA in honoring the outstanding academic achievements of these award recipients.”
