Redesigned Web Site Focuses on User Needs

June 8, 2009

JASPER, IN – Kimball Office has redesigned its Web site to provide an easy-to-navigate, lively experience that focuses on users.

Designed with MediaSauce, a digital marketing company in Indianapolis, IN, the new site supports how people work and how they want to interact with the Web—quickly, directly and personally. It offers streamlined access—desired product information is never more than two clicks away, expanded content and interactive tools for exploring the company’s solutions.

“Everything we’re doing is about making it easy for people to get what they need to furnish their work environments,” explains Paula Schmidt, director of market communications for Kimball Office. “The Web site redesign is just the initial phase of a much broader digital initiative to give users the information they want, when they want it and in the format required for the device they’re using.”

To meet these ambitious goals, the new site includes a number of unique features:

  • Brochure builder tool: Enables users to generate and share product information that is most relevant to them.
  • Essential product resources: Includes downloadable images, interactive case studies, features and options, application and configuration examples, environmental data sheets, indoor air quality certification documents, specification and CAD information, pricing, assembly and disassembly instructions, and installation videos.
  • Inspiration gallery: Makes it easy to see real-world uses of Kimball Office products in a wide range of functional and creative work environments from around the world.
  • Integrated social networking: Lets users instantly share and discuss information with clients and colleagues.

In addition to being user friendly, the new Web site is also more environmentally sustainable.

“Accessing information through the use of technology encourages an at- your-fingertips, interactive experience in real time and reduces the waste that ends up in our oceans, lakes, streams and landfills,” says Schmidt.

Over the coming months, Kimball Office will add even more content and features to the Web site, continuously enhancing the ability for users to connect with ideas, solutions and educational materials. These enhancements will be driven by ongoing evaluation and feedback from users, but already in the works are easier pricing and space planning applications.
