FSC Announces Call for Submissions

July 27, 2009

Each year, the Forest Stewardship Council–US (FSC-US) recognizes and honors designers and builders who are committed to using FSC-certified wood and creating a marketplace that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable forest management—the mission of FSC.

FSC invites candidates to submit projects for the fifth annual awards recognizing excellence in the use of FSC materials in both residential and commercial/industrial design and construction. This year, there will be two awards for two categories of entries: 1) residential and 2) commercial/industrial.

Applications
An application form can be downloaded from the FSC-US Web site (www.fscus.org). Project teams must complete and submit an application form to FSC-US on or before Thursday, October 1, 2009. Applicants will be notified of the awards decisions by mid-October. Awards will be presented in conjunction with the U.S. Green Building Council’s Greenbuild ‘09 Conference, in Phoenix, Arizona, on Wednesday evening, November 11.

For inquiries and submissions, contact Emily Crumley, chain-of-custody manager, Forest Stewardship Council-US: (612) 353-4511 or [email protected].
