Paoli Products Achieve Environmental Certification

Aug. 24, 2009

ORLEANS, IN – Laminate models within Paoli’s top-selling Revival and Revolve casegoods series have been certified as meeting criteria of the ANSI/BIFMA Furniture Emissions Standard for private offices.

The certified products qualify for environmental quality credits under the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Rating System.

Components and raw materials of the laminate casegoods were tested under rigorous protocol and certified by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), one of the oldest and most trusted names in independent certification of environmental claims. Revival and Revolve received SCS Indoor Advantage certifications and conform to indoor air quality criteria established by BIFMA.

The prestigious certifications were awarded to laminate desks, tables, credenzas, returns, pedestals, bookcases, files, storage, and other products within Revival, a freestanding furniture series, and Revolve, a component-based, modular furniture series.

Visually compatible, easily combined, and attractively priced, Revival and Revolve solve a wide range of office furniture needs, from private offices to conference rooms to reception areas. Laminate models in both series are offered in Cordovan Cherry, Golden Cherry, Light Cherry, Natural Maple and Honey Maple, and with a choice of edge and pull options.

“Receiving SCS certification for two significant groups of casegoods is testament to Paoli’s ongoing commitment to responsible product design and construction,” says Kent Robbins, Paoli’s vice president, marketing. “This achievement follows the same certification of 17 Paoli executive, management, and conference chair series.”

“These certifications for casegoods and seating meet numerous customer needs. They strengthen our dealers’ ability to support LEED building projects and participate more broadly with General Services Administration customers,” adds Robbins.

Certification to BIFMA’s indoor air quality standard is voluntary. Achieving this certification demonstrates Paoli’s commitment to being good stewards of the Earth and reinforces the company’s role as a leading supplier of furniture with reduced environmental impact.

“Paoli continues to invest in voluntary certification to the BIFMA indoor air quality standards across our offering,” notes Robbins. “Achieving certification honors our company’s environmental legacy and assures customers that Paoli furniture can contribute to employee well-being and productivity.”
