Aug. 31, 2009

SAN DIEGO – To encourage senior-level designers to participate as industry educators, Kimball Office and the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) are partnering at the 2009 International Interior Design Association (IIDA) NeoCan’t Trade Fair.

Information at the Kimball Office/IDEC booth is intended to inspire upper-level interior designers to become more involved in educating their entry-level counterparts. Denise Homme, director of interior design at the Design Institute of San Diego (DISD), will be at the booth to meet and greet designers and discuss ways to become more involved in the design education community.

“There is a great need in the industry for senior-level designers and NeoCan’t is the perfect platform for us to promote accelerated interior design education,” says Jeff Fenwick, vice president and general manager at Kimball Office. “By reaching out to today’s dedicated and talented designers and asking them to take an active role in education, we are assuring the next generation of successful and well-trained interior designers.”

The NeoCan’t one-day event will showcase new products from more than 40 different manufacturers and rep groups.
